Katherine Hicks, M.S., a health economist and researcher with 16 years of professional experience, recently joined RTI Health Solutions (RTI-HS) as a Director in the Health Economics group.
Katherine has extensive experience developing decision-analytic models and most recently was an Operations Research Analyst in Health, Social, and Economic Research (HSER) at RTI International, Research Triangle Park, NC.
Over the past several years, Katherine has been developing decision-analytic models for the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to examine the cost-effectiveness and cost-benefit of interventions in HIV prevention, breast and cervical cancer, childhood vaccine, hepatitis A immunization, obesity and diabetes. She has also developed simulation models to examine prisoner substance abuse treatment and chemical terrorism preparedness programs
Katherine has a M.S. in Operations Research and a BSPH in Health Behavior and Health Education, both from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, NC.
