– Eric Faulkner, MPH recently joined RTI Health Solutions (RTI-HS) as Director of US Reimbursement and Market Access. Mr. Faulkner brings over ten years of experience in product reimbursement and commercialization, health technology assessment, health care management, and health policy analysis.
"We are committed to building a world-class pricing and reimbursement team to meet the needs our clients," said Allen Mangel, Vice President RTI-HS. "With important hires like Eric and strategic initiatives like the recent acquisition of pricing and reimbursement firm, Palmer D'Angelo Consulting, we are well on our way to accomplishing this goal."
RTI-HS has extensive experience in international price regulation, public and private reimbursement strategies and policy analysis. The pricing and reimbursement group helps pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies price their products and develop successful strategies to achieve formulary access, gain reimbursement, and maximize revenue. In his new role, Mr. Faulkner will focus on management of client pricing and reimbursement engagements in the US market and work with the international pricing and reimbursement team of RTI-HS.
"Eric's strong background in biotechnology, diagnostics and medical devices, and his particular interest in healthcare policy, enhances the skill set of our pricing and reimbursement team," said Deirdre Mladsi, Global Head of US Pricing and Reimbursement. "We are very pleased Eric has joined the team. He will be a great asset to our company and our clients will benefit from his broad experience helping companies meet their reimbursement and market access goals."
Most recently, Eric held senior consultant roles at the Littell Group and The Lewin Group. In these positions, he managed a portfolio of consulting projects including reimbursement strategy analysis, clinical and economic impact evaluation for the in vitro diagnostics industry, clinical trial design, life sciences stakeholder surveys, burden of illness studies, and key health policy analysis. Earlier in his career, he provided intellectual property consulting services and managed a variety of genomic and molecular research initiatives for the NIH and Duke University.
Eric's additional responsibilities have included participation in a number of expert advisory groups addressing ethical, legal, policy, commercial and operational issues relevant to the life sciences industry and serving as Editor-in-Chief of the Genomics Biotech Institute's special section of the Journal of Managed Care Medicine. Eric earned a BS in biology from Radford University and an MPH from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
"I am excited to join RTI-HS, not only because of the group’s expanding emphasis on pricing and reimbursement offerings that are increasingly critical to product success, but also because of the organization’s commitment to delivering research services of the highest caliber,” Faulkner said. I look forward to contributing to the success of the company, the satisfaction of our clients, and welcome the opportunity to return to the Tarheel state."
