Research Triangle Park, NC - Doreen McBride, PhD, MBA, a health care administrator and economist with over 25 years of experience, joined RTI Health Solutions (RTI-HS) as a Senior Director of Health Economics. She will be based in Berlin, Germany.

Dr. McBride brings considerable experience in healthcare administration, research and consulting. Her background includes the successful design, implementation and leadership of large-scale multinational health economic and epidemiological studies throughout Europe and the USA. She has provided leadership and oversight of research in a number of therapeutic areas, including cardiology, diabetes, nephrology, allergy, and rheumatic diseases. She has also conducted patient studies in the assessment of treatment preference, patient satisfaction, treatment and economic burden, health-related quality of life, and productivity.

Dr. McBride earned a PhD degree in Medical Sciences at Humboldt and Free Universities, Berlin, Germany and a MBA degree from the University of Leicester, UK.

Dr. McBride is an active member of the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research, the International Health Economics Association, and the German Society for Health Economics. She has published in peer-reviewed journals and has presented her research at numerous international symposia. She also serves as a peer-reviewer for Value in Health, the American Journal of Geriatric Pharmacotherapy, and the Journal of Thrombosis and Thrombolysis.
