Semra Ozdemir Receives Best New Investigator Podium Presentation Award from ISPOR

The International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) recently recognized Semra Ozdemir for a Best New Investigator Podium Presentation award at their 12th Annual International Meeting May 19-23, 2007 in Arlington, VA. Her presentation was titled Causes and Effects of Scenario Rejection: Stated Preferences for Rheumatoid Arthritis Treatments. Reed Johnson and Brett Hauber of RTI Health Solutions and Mohan Bala of Johnson & Johnson were co-authors on the presentation.

Semra was one of three who received an award in the new investigator podium presentation category.  Winning entries exhibited exceptional scientific merit as determined by the judging process. Additional information regarding the awards and award process are available on the ISPOR website. Awards were also given for student and general podium presentations and posters. In addition to Semra’s award, a poster co-authored by RTI-HS’ Josephine Mauskopf and Anita Brogan was a finalist for Best General Poster Presentation. Their poster was titled Cost-Effectiveness of Darunavir for the Management of HIV-Infected, Treatment-Experienced Adults in Canada.

This year, a total of approximately 450 posters and 68 podiums were presented at the ISPOR annual meeting.
