We will work with you to design and implement database studies that address your health economics and outcomes research questions. We have experience with North American and European cross-sectional and longitudinal datasets and have implemented database studies on topics such as:
Disease prevalence, severity and impact
Cost of illness
Treatment patterns
Cost of treatment
Comparative effectiveness
Healthcare resource utilization
Value of alternative treatments
Treatment gaps

We do not have a proprietary position on, nor contractual commitment to, any specific database. Our status as an independent non-profit research company allows us access to datasets that may not otherwise be available. We can also leverage our relationships with other organizations that have patient health care data to work collaboratively on your studies. Because of our unique industry position, you can be confident that the right data are identified and used for your study. Our experience includes, working with the following data sources:

Methodologies
We determine the most appropriate analytical methods for your database studies, including case control and cohort analysis and pre- to post-index-date comparisons. We will access, process and store data files, extract requisite data depending on the study objective and prepare and implement detailed analysis plans. As appropriate, we also de-identify data, apply sampling statistics for robust inferences, and use other statistical techniques to control for selection bias and other confounders.
